ABOUT STROLLER MOM

Hi, I’m Emily.

I’m Emily Schultz, the mom behind Stroller Mom. I’ve personally tested more than 150 strollers, and I’m a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).

I started Stroller Mom to give parents the advice I wanted when shopping for my own family: someone who had used the gear, noticed the little things, and would tell me the good and the bad.

HOW IT STARTED

One frustrating Fourth of July

The idea for Stroller Mom started with a stroller that wasn’t working for our family.

We had a popular single-to-double stroller. One Fourth of July, we were pushing it around a park when the front wheels kept catching on small curbs. It felt like it was going to tip over.

I decided we needed something different. After watching reviews, I thought I’d found the right stroller. But when I tried it in a store, I noticed several dealbreakers no one had mentioned.

Why was it so hard to find someone who would tell me the good and the bad?

I could find plenty of reasons to buy a stroller. What I wanted was help understanding whether I’d like using it.

That became Stroller Mom.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND HERE

The details that help you choose

Gear I’ve used

Strollers come on walks, errands, and trips with my kids. High chairs get covered in food. Diaper bags get packed and carried. I want to know what these products are like to live with.

Useful comparisons

Testing more than 150 strollers gives me a lot to compare. A smooth push, a short seatback, or a hard-to-reach basket means more when you can see how other strollers handle the same thing.

The good and the bad

I explain who a product works for, where it falls short, and when another option makes more sense. A product can be good and still be the wrong choice for your family.

YOUR FAMILY, YOUR CHOICE

If you have 15 tabs open, you’re in the right place.

I’m here for the parents who read reviews, check dimensions, watch comparisons, and still wonder what they’re missing.

A stroller that works for a family with a large SUV may be a poor fit if you carry it up stairs every day. A short seatback might be fine for a baby but uncomfortable for a tall toddler.

That’s why I explain who I’m recommending a product for. There’s rarely one option that suits everyone.

EXPERIENCE

A parent and a product reviewer

I’ve been using strollers as a parent since 2020 and reviewing baby gear professionally for several years. My CPST training informs how I discuss car-seat installation, compatibility, and fit.

One-on-one consultations have also shown me how much families’ needs vary, from budgets and trunk space to children of different ages. I attend industry events, including ABC Kids Expo, to see new products and talk with the people making them.

How this work is funded

Brands provide many of the products I test, and I sometimes accept paid sponsorships. Neither buys a positive opinion. I disclose sponsored content and keep final say over my reviews.
